My tendency in the past was always to rush in, say yes to everything and then get overwhelmed and start to wonder how on earth I could commit to all the things I said I would do! Christmas was the worst time for that, as I would spend most of December trying to work out exit strategies for all the things I wish I had said no to. Not a great way to enjoy the festive season, I would land on the sofa the first day of the holiday, exhausted, fried on every level and usually with a cold to boot! These days my priority is focusing on what I want to do and not to overwhelm myself with too many events or places to be.
Meditation is a wonderful tool for slowing the mind and creating space in order to make healthier choices in life. I always use the indigo aura spray or place a drop of the indigo blend on my third eye to help me access that deep and powerful place of stillness that only meditating and quieting the mind can bring.
