This is really exciting! I am so pleased to introduce you to our new melts. They have all the wonderful qualities of our candles but in the form of melts for your oil burners.
Homeopathic Crystals infused for that wonderful clarity and clean air you are used to with our candles, but in beautiful heart shapes to enhance your home or therapy practice. High quality aromatherapy as you would expect and pure oils hold the scent.
I have been debating for a long time what to use as the base oil. Most of the melts you buy are soy wax and I just can’t bring myself to use that. Almost all of the soy wax you can buy is now GM and grown in great swathes across America, clearing the fields of food for the people to eat. I have been looking for the best base oil I can find, and I have decided to use a base of beeswax and almond oil. It has been a long slow process to decide to use beeswax, it’s not vegan for starters and that had me pondering……
My investigations into beeswax for melts has led me down really interesting avenues. Did you know for example, that when beeswax is melted in burners it is wonderful for cleaning the air from virus’s and pollutants?
It is made from the honeycomb of the honeybee. It costs about 10 times more than soy or paraffin wax, is 100% chemical free, environmentally safe, non-toxic, biodegradable and totally natural. Best of all it is the only wax that emits negative ions which help to purify, cleanse and improve the air you are breathing! Isn’t that wonderful? It’s a natural ionizer.
Unlike other waxes that should be avoided by people with chest issues, beeswax is beneficial to those with asthma, environmental allergies and chest infections!
But best of all, by buying sustainably I can help small bee farmers keep their hives alive and thriving by helping to pay for the bees upkeep and help to propagate the fields and flora.
I think this really is a win- win and I hope you agree they are beautiful melts, enhancing the world around us.
With love
Sarah xx
