During my time as a counsellor, I have seen so many patterns and emotions unfolding that relate to all of us. At our core we are so similar, and our wants and needs are mostly the same. We want to be loved, we want to love, and we want to feel secure and stable. Often, we find these basic needs so difficult to ask for. Maybe we grew up in a family where it felt impossible to ask for help, or maybe we have hidden our needs deep within us as we forged careers or families?
Speaking our truth is a powerful tool for creation, but not speaking our truth can have a devastating effect on our lives and health. Holidays can often amplify what is and what is not working in our lives. We have more time to relax and stop our busy spinning minds and in that stillness, we begin to hear the truth of our deepest longings. I always carry the Truth & Integrity throat chakra spray or oil with me for such times. Rubbing the oil onto the throat and neck area and repeating the affirmation “I speak my truth with courage and integrity,” helps me get into the space to state my needs with clarity and kindness, not with anger and frustration. Our buried truths can feel so painful and hard to express, but once spoken the Universe swings into action to help meet our needs and powerful streams of light project out from our hearts. Flowers have a profound effect on our nervous system and mood. Neroli oil is one of the most powerful mood enhancers I know. If you have ever walked through a field of orange blossom you will know exactly what I mean!
